Where is your Swiss family Heimat?
A Swiss citizen’s Heimat is the specific area where that person has their hereditary rights of citizenship. It is acquired from their father at birth, and women acquire a second Heimat from their husband when they marry. Heimat is not necessarily the place of birth or residence, but is a surname-based family structure for record keeping.
